          Overview of planned activities

          In order to engage with the research undertaken in Europe on 'Creative Regions', we have developed partnerships with other academic and policy organisation to bring the RSA Creative Regions events to three different European cities. Consequently, the new seminar series of the network will be articulated as follows (although dates are still provisional at this stage)

          1. First Seminar: Barcelona - Spain (5th -6th May 2011)

          2. Second Seminar: Poznan - Poland (21st-22nd September 2011)

          Local organisers: Prof. Tadeusz Stryjakiewicz, Poland Adam Mickiewicz University, Institute of Socio-Economic Geography and Spatial Management




          Themes to be explored:
          1) Creative industries in the periphery. Exploring creativity in rural areas 
          2) Creative Regions in Eastern Europe: challenges and opportunities 



          3. Third Seminar: Copenhagen- Denmark (18th-19th April 2012)

          Themes to be explored:

          1) Creative Regions in Northern Europe: challenges and opportunities 
          2) Creative regions and policy from arts to innovation
